Ondetto is a boutique web design & development agency based in Geelong. Personal service and quality work are important to us. Here’s how I make it happen on a typical day.
7-9am: A busy start that includes school drop off and perhaps a quick stop at the shops to stock up on lunchbox essentials.
9-9:30am: Check emails, respond to queries and cross my fingers that there are no major issues such as email or hosting problems that require immediate attention. Phew, all looking ok for today.
9:30-11am: Work through edits on a website for a new food van that is nearing completion. Edit new photos, insert updated content, and provide the client with instructions on how to preview the website.
11-11:15am: Call a tradie client who wants to reinstate his Google Ads. Things have been a little quiet recently and he needs to get more work for his team. Agree to get his ads back up and running in the next couple of days.
11:15am-12:15pm: Set up and layout an email newsletter for a regular client and send for approval.
12:15-1pm: Have lunch, then walk the dog to a local café where I meet one of my graphic designers.
1-2:30pm: Discuss current design projects, including a website for a local footie club, as well as a photo shoot we are planning and agree on next steps.
2:30 – 3:15pm: Respond to emails and deal with quick queries. One client has new team members for his medical practice and needs to add them to the website. I request headshots of the team members and details about their qualifications. Another client wants to add an online shop to her website - we lock in a meeting via Zoom for later in the week to discuss the details.
3:15-4pm: School pickup
4-5pm: Set up a web hosting plan for a client who wants to move a WordPress website to our hosting service. Organise a couple of domain name renewals and invoices.
5-7:30pm: Take my daughter to her basketball game, cook dinner, feed the dog, deal with laundry and other chores.
7:30 – 9:30pm: Head to the gym, clean up kitchen, prep lunchbox items etc. Time to recharge for another busy day tomorrow!
